Application checklist

The online application, required documentation, and typewritten essay must be uploaded to the scholarship website by 11:59 EST on March 15, 2023. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Helpful reminder
Gather transcripts, essay, financial need form, and recommendation letter before starting your final submission.

Residency

Be a resident of Kent County, Delaware and graduating from Dover High School. Undocumented students and DACA recipients are eligible.

Senior status

Be a college-bound, graduating Dover High School senior in good standing.

Academics

Have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale, or at least 80% on a school transcript.

Transcript

Submit a school transcript that includes class ranking and grade point average.

Required uploads

Documents to include

  • Completed application and financial need form.
  • Typewritten essay of 250-500 words.
  • School transcript with class ranking and GPA.
  • One recommendation from a current faculty, staff, or community leader.

Recommendation letter

What supporters should address

  • Length of time the supporter has known the applicant.
  • The strengths and character of the applicant.
  • How the applicant demonstrates a commitment to service.
  • Why the supporter believes the applicant should receive the scholarship.
